Lung Capacity
One way to find out how fit you are is to test your lung capacity. This is a measurement of just how much air your lungs hold. The more air your lungs can hold, the more oxygen your lungs can distribute to your body during exercise.
With a few simple materials: a 2 litre bottle, a plastic straw and a tub of water, you can determine the volume of someone’s lungs by displacing the water in the bottle with the air in the lungs.
It turns out that all the children in our class have a great lung capacity!

Dental Health
All the children have received a workshop based around Dental Hygiene. The sessions were delivered by two lovely Dental Hygiene nurses and the children have learnt a lot about looking after their teeth. They were shown how much sugar was in popular sweets and drinks before discussing the importance of brushing their teeth. At the end of the session each child received their own toothbrush and toothpaste to take home.
