Every Friday we hold our whole school ‘Celebration Assembly’. During this assembly a range of awards and certificates are presented to children for excellent achievements and efforts in school. We also recognise the achievements of our children out of school too and children are encouraged to bring in certificates, trophies etc that recognise their unique talents.
Star of the Week Award
A child from each class is chosen to be Star of the Week for outstanding achievement and/or effort.
The children are presented in Celebration Assembly with a special certificate and a trophy to take home until following week.
All Stars of the Week are posted on a noticeboard in school and published in a newsletter.

Dojo Awards
We have introduced the Class Dojo Reward System in school this year to help encourage positive behaviour. Children can earn Dojo points by demonstrating positive behaviours and displaying school values in their actions such as: being on task, being ready to learn, showing persistance, helping others and much more. Other behaviours will also be added depending on the individual needs of the class.
Each week, the child with the most Dojo points in each class will be rewarded with a certificate to take home and their photograph displayed on the school noticeboards. The classs with the most Whole Class Dojo points at the end of each half term will be rewarded with a treat of their choice. This celebration will be posted on Facebook for you all to see.

Attendance Award
Class Attendance
At Escomb Primary School we are committed to promoting the highest levels of attendance. We present a weekly attendance award to the class with the highest percentage. This is displayed in the school hall. At the end of each term, the class with the best attendance are given a whole class reward. e.g. Climbing Wall session at Bishop Auckland College, visit to Escomb Play Area.
Individual Children
Attendance of individual children is also recognised at Escomb Primary School.
Children who have 100% attendance for that particular term are recognised.
100% cumulative attendance is also celebrated.
We are proud to present those children who have 100% attendance for the whole year with an award in our last assembly of the school year.
Class attendance and 100% individual attendance is reported on in our newsletters.
