Baptism

Today in RE we explored the process of Baptism. We watched a video about Jesus blessing children and discussed why people believe it is important to welcome their children into God’s family. We then discussed what the different objects in a baptism were e.g. water and candle and what the different actions were e.g. the symbol of the cross. Finally we produced some drama where we re-enacted a baptism and showed the Godparents making promises to the child. We had fun being able to take on the different roles.
