School Council

At Escomb, being a part of the School Council means being a part of change. Members have an important role in helping to make our school a better place for all as well as making links with the local community. Each year we select two members through a vote from each class ranging from Reception to Year 6 and these members have regular meetings to discuss ideas and work on different projects throughout the year. Being a part of the school council is an exciting opportunity that everyone wants to be a part of.

Belonging Group
Our children play a leading role in embedding the principles of children’s rights in school life and how they can be incorporated across our curriculum. We will be working towards reaccredutation for our silver award.
We will work together in our Belonging Group to ensure we are a welcoming and inclusive school for all.
We believe that it doesnt matter your gender, race, beliefs or age, everybody deserves to be treated equally, supporting and cekebrating our differences.
Green Team

Our Green Team works hard to make a positive difference to the planet. The children are passionate about saving energy, caring for living things and looking after their local environment. They love to take part in local and national initiatives which help protect our planet. They maintain our school grounds by litter picking and looking after the school’s wildlife garden and love nothing more than sharing their knowledge with the rest of the school, family and friends.

Digital leaders

Our digital leaders are recognised for their computing skills and their willingness to share these skills with their classmates and across the school.  If anyone would like to be a digital leader they complete an application form saying what their skills are and how they will help the Escomb school community.  The leaders help look after our equipment and resources and are always willing to share their love of computing with anyone who asks them.
