Spotting signs of spring
Article 13: you have the right to share what you have found.
We used our 5 senses to spot lots of signs that spring is coming. We also used a checklist as research to check off what was in our grounds.
Some of us used a pencil and drew a representation of all the things we have seen. We compared what we have found in spring to what we have found in winter! It was very different.

Rosa Parks
We have learned all about Rosa Parks. We learned how she stood up by sitting down! We used role play to experience it first-hand. We talked about our feelings and why it was not okay or fair. We then spoke about what the impact of this was.
Article 19: You have the right to be protected from being hurt in body or mind.
Article 2: ALL CHILDREN have these rights no matter their differences.

Sharing our learning
Year 6 children shared their knowledge of slavery with Year 1. Year 1 children taught Year 6 everything they had learned about Rosa Parks and equality.
They then joined together and protested against slavery.
We have a right to be protected from type of exploitation. (Article 36)
