Today Year 6 waved a fond farewell to their parents for three days! They are off on an adventure to Hexham to explore the outdoor world! News to date is that they have arrived safely, the sun is shining and they are all canoeing! What a life! Hopefully we will post some photographs soon!
Safer Internet Day
Tuesday 9th February was safer internet day. All classes watched and discussed film clips ‘play your part for a better internet’ based on making the internet a better and safer place. Mr Turner led an assembly this morning to reinforce these important messages. Don’t forget – E-safety workshop for parents is on Wednesday 27th April at 2.30p.m. We hope to see lots of you there!
Chinese New Year
On Monday we celebrated the start of Chinese new year with a whole school assembly. Year 6 helped me with the presentation; sharing the work they have done in class. This year we are celebrating the year of the monkey. Later in the week Reception Class are going to share their learning with the rest of the school! They are making lanterns, cooking and tasting Chinese food and practising a dance. We are looking forward to their performance.
Money Matters!
Monday 25th January
I have just discovered how to blog!
Thanks to Barbara Stephenson and Fiona Freeble from Step Coaching & Development, who have been into school today and delivered a full day’s workshop with Year 6. Year 6 now know how to look after their money and spend wisely! Photographs will be posted soon!
