Money Matters
On 28th April Rev. David Briggs visited Year 5 to deliver a Maths enterprise session to half the class on the Money Matters. The group discussed the important matters based around how we earn money, understanding budgets and how we can spend it effectively. The children completed several exercises on spending and income. The aim was to ensure that you did not fall into debt. This lesson was then delivered to the second half of the class, the following week.

Food Festival roadshow
On the 21st April, Year 4 and Year 5 children were invited to attend a culinary roadshow event at Shildon Civic Hall. The event was linked to the Bishop Auckland Food Festival and allowed children to bake, taste and discuss healthy drinks and snacks. This was a fabulous event and gave children an insight into how much sugar is found in snacks.
