Digestive System (29.11.18)
We found out about our Digestive System and how it works. We had great fun making poo!!
First we broke up the bits of food and put it into the bag. A bit like our teeth chewing and grinding up the food.
Next we mixed the food in a bag with some water. This was like saliva and enzymes which break down the food in our stomach.
Then we emptied the contents of the bag (stomach) into the tights. The tights represented the intestines. The food was squeezed through the tights.
Finally we cut the tights(intestines) and pushed out the food to make poo!
We now know what happens to food in our digestive system.
